SCBA's membership is now available online! SCBA's online directory is a convenient way for the public and colleagues to find you. Attorney members who add-on practice areas to their membership will also be searchable in the directory by those practice areas. Online member profiles show more information on each member, including space for a personal message or bio!

Among our primary purposes is to provide our membership with locally-offered and reduced-price MCLE units. Our programs are organized by local legal professionals like you and presented by guest speakers from near and far, assuring their relevancy and interest. As a member, you receive substantial discounts on admission. SCBA maintains an on-demand library of recorded seminars available for viewing as well as program materials from previous seminars. LAWYER REFERRAL SERVICE
The administration fee to join our LRS program is waived for SCBA members. These clients have been carefully screened by our staff prior to the referral, saving your time.
BAR JOURNAL
The Bar Journal is a valuable member benefit that keeps attorneys informed about important legal developments, local court updates, and issues impacting the Sonoma County legal community. It also provides members with opportunities to showcase their expertise through article contributions and professional recognition. In addition, the Journal strengthens connections among members by highlighting community events, accomplishments, and resources that support professional growth and engagement. Members receive a subscription to our quarterly newsletter.
LUNCHEONS AND SOCIAL EVENTS
In addition to our educational programs, we also produce a number of social events throughout the year. These events are traditionally fun and lively, and provide ample opportunities for building professional relationships and/or relaxing with friends and professional colleagues. As always, members receive discounted admission.
SECTIONS
Our members have organized 14 sections within the SCBA: Alternative Dispute Resolution, Bankruptcy Law, Barristers Club, Business & Intellectual Property Law, Civil Bench Bar, Criminal Law, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Family Law, Labor & Employment Law, LGBTQI Law, Paralegal & Legal Support, Public Law, Real Property Law, and Trusts & Estates Law. Only SCBA members can belong to these Sections.
FEE ARBITRATION PROGRAM
Participation in fee arbitration is mandatory for members of the State Bar. The Sonoma County Bar Association Mandatory Fee Arbitration Program is temporarily suspending processing new Requests for Arbitration of Fee Disputes. Please check back in with us at a later date. Updated December 2025.
