Summary

In this talk, Dr. Naber will explain how a field that focuses on brain-behavior
relationships and the identification of cognitive dysfunction has direct relevance to
most legal specialties. By the end of this talk, participants should be able to:

  • Describe forensic neuropsychology and its utility in a broad range of legal cases and objectives
  • Discuss standards of scientific evidence and their application to the use of neuropsychological experts, and
  • Demonstrate how neuropsychologists can effectively communicate to the trier of fact in order to assist in case outcomes
