Course Description/Goals:
This presentation will provide an overview of common problems and errors that arise when family law attorneys are handling retirement plans before the actual QDRO is drafted. Practice pointers will be provided to avoid problems with your clients down the road, with examples given from real cases. Sample language for use in MSAs and when contacting retirement plans to initiate holds will also be provided.
