Summary

Course Description/Goals:
Join Carmen Sinigiani and as she covers how serving as a fiduciary (trustee, agent under power of attorney, executor) during economically tumultuous times presents a host of potential litigation issues that often are bypassed or forgiven during a strong economy. In the current economic client, now is a good time to review what steps should be taken to reduce the possibility of litigation, as well as shore up a fiduciary’s process to defend against potential claims.

Learning Objectives:

Representing fiduciaries during uncertain economic times present special problems that may not otherwise pop up during an administration of an estate or trust. Learn to identify issues and resolve them; help clients avoid litigation where possible; and plan for court intervention when it cannot otherwise be avoided.
