Bio: Hon. Oscar A. Pardo has served as judge in Sonoma County Superior Court since December 2022. He was elected to judicial office by Sonoma County voters in June 2022 and later approved for an interim appointment by Gov. Gavin Newsom in November 2022. Judge Pardo is currently assigned to Department 19, where he presides over all types of civil matters. To date, he has presided over approximately 30 jury and court trials, hundreds of evidentiary hearings, and high-volume case management calendars.  He also serves as member of the Appellate Division, Election Day Judge, and the Local Rules Committee. Prior to assuming his judicial role, Hon. Pardo was an associate attorney with Perry, Johnson, Anderson, Miller & Moskowitz, LLP in Santa Rosa, CA from 2008 to 2022. He was also an associate with Brayton & Purcell, LLP from 2006 to 2008. He received his B.A. in 2002 from the University of California, Berkeley, while majoring in Political Science and minoring in Public Policy.  He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2005.  During his time in law school, he served as Co-Chair of La Raza Law Students Association, Associate Editor of the Chicano/Latino Law Review, and a Committee Board-member of the National Latino Law Students Association (NLLSC) and was a UCLA Law Fellow.
