The presentation will be a general overview of California Mechanic’s Lien Law and other Construction Remedies including, but not limited to, Stop Notices and Payment Bonds. The emphasis will be on recent changes to the law and how those changes contrast with the prior law.

Andrew Slater was born and raised in Fresno, California, and comes from a long line of Central Valley businesspeople. Andrew is civil litigator specializing in business, real property, contract and construction disputes. Andrew also has extensive experience in landlord/tenant law and collections cases. He has a strong background in business with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Entrepreneurship from California State Monterey Bay and his family has owned and operated retail furniture stores in the Central Valley of California for nearly 100 years. Andrew is licensed to practice in all Courts of the State of California as well as in California’s Eastern, Central and Northern District Federal Courts. Dowling Aaron Incorporated represents many different national insurance carriers, large corporations and agricultural partnerships as well as local and small businesses. Most importantly, Andrew is married to a native of Sonoma County.
