The Honorable Gary Nadler is currently Judge in the Civil Division of the Sonoma County Superior Court. Judge Nadler is also an adjunct professor at the University Of San Francisco School of Law, and is a faculty member at the Bernard E. Witkin Judicial College. He teaches extensive judicial continuing education for California Judges. He is co‐author of California Civil Discovery Handbook, and authored action guides relating to civil discovery for the Continuing Education of the Bar.

Hon. Elaine Rushing (Ret.)

Judge Rushing’s experience with expert witnesses spans her private civil practice, which included experts in valuation, real estate and numerous other fields, to 6 years as the Civil Supervising Judge here in Sonoma County. She has tried over 100 civil jury trials, plus heard more than 2500 law and motion and court trials. Issues concerning expert witnesses were a day-to-day part of her judicial work. In addition, she settled at least 4 cases for each one she tried, frequently after hearing or reading the expert opinions. Known for her caring and intelligent approach to the law, she was elected Presiding Judge in 1994 and 1995. She was Research Editor of the Hastings Law Journal and Order of the Coif. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Syracuse University.
